Who we are
215Hackney Ltd runs the cafe at 215 Stoke Newington High Street, London N16 0LH, and this website. We are the "data controller" for the personal data described here. Questions or requests: email hello@215hackney.co.uk or call 020 7254 5199.
Online bookings
When you book a table at 215hackney.co.uk/book we store your name, phone number, email address, party size, date and time, and any note you add. We use this to manage your reservation: confirming it, contacting you if something changes, and letting you change or cancel it. The legal basis is the contract between us (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- Confirmation, change and cancellation emails are sent from
bookings@215hackney.co.uk. Replies go tohello@215hackney.co.uk. - Cafe staff can see bookings in a password-protected admin area, so they know who is coming and when.
- Your name, phone, email and note are automatically anonymised 12 months after the booking date. The booking itself (date, time, party size) is kept as an anonymous record.
- To stop spam, the booking form keeps a hashed (not readable) version of your IP address for up to 24 hours. It is then deleted.
- The booking system is our own software, hosted on our UK web host (eUKhost, cPanel server in the UK). No third-party booking platform is involved.
Website analytics
This site uses Google Tag Manager (container GTM-M8JLN6HF) with Google Analytics to understand
how visitors use the site and to measure our ads. It runs in Google's "consent mode": all analytics and
advertising storage is set to denied until you click Accept on the cookie
banner. If you click Reject, only essential storage is used and no analytics or advertising
cookies are set.
The same choice applies on the booking pages. If you accept, a booking_complete event (no
personal data) is sent to Google Analytics when a booking is made.
Changing your mind: the banner appears again if you clear this site's data in your browser
(Settings → Privacy → Site data, or delete the cc215 entry in local storage for
215hackney.co.uk). You can then accept or reject again.

Google Fonts (Poppins) is loaded from Google's servers, and the Contact page embeds a Google Map. Google receives your IP address when these load. See Google's privacy policy.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the companies that run things for us:
- eUKhost (UK) hosts the website, booking database and email.
- Google provides analytics, tag management, fonts and maps. Analytics data is only collected with your consent.
We do not make automated decisions about you.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you (access);
- correct it (rectification);
- delete it (erasure), for example after your visit;
- stop using it in a particular way (objection or restriction).
Email hello@215hackney.co.uk and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
