How Our Middle Eastern Café in Hackney Came to Be

This café was born from a passion that started in the kitchen and the shared dream of two people walking side by side through life. One of us grew up in a professional chef's kitchen, developing a fascination with cooking and flavour from a young age. After studying economics and finance, then moving to London in 2019 for further education, life led back to the kitchen, where the last five years have been spent working as a professional chef.

The other half of our partnership brought nine years of London hospitality experience, with expertise spanning every aspect of the industry. When hospitality skills, operational knowledge, and a gift for connecting with people combined with culinary creativity and passion, a shared vision emerged naturally.

Six months into our marriage, with complete trust in one another, we decided to open 215 Hackney. Our dream has always been to create memorable flavours in our own kitchen, served to guests who leave feeling genuinely delighted.

Everything on our menu is prepared from scratch, made in-house with genuine attention to detail. We focus not only on the taste of each dish but also on the atmosphere and feeling it creates at your table. You will find combinations here that you simply cannot find elsewhere.
