We started 215 Hackney with one goal – to make it the best community-driven café in Hackney with the classic local café vibe you’d expect from an East London establishment. We are based in Stoke Newington and right around the corner from Abney Park.

We started this cafe to bring a unique take on the traditional London brunch concept by giving it a Middle Eastern twist and bringing a range of flavours from the region, one might not typically connect with traditional British brunch. This turned out to be a hit amongst locals and visitors alike as people travel from all around the UK to try our unique dishes, such as our famous shakshuka and of course, our Signature Baklawa French Toast. 

We provide a unique brunch menu to blend traditional Middle Eastern flavours with locally sourced ingredients we buy from local establishments to help further grow our community and small businesses at a time when they need it the most. We also brew delicious speciality coffee, which is known all around Hackney.

In addition to our usual brunch menu, we also provide our community with a budget-friendly brunch option through our “£5 Stokey Menu,” which consists of some of our well-known flavours—all available for just £5. This was started as part of our initiative to help our community during the cost-of-living crisis and provide them with a more affordable way to eat out and enjoy their favourite dishes for less. It has since gained in popularity and become one of the staples of our cafe. 

Another unique part of 215 Hackney is our signature drinks made and developed right here in-house – our Tahini Maple Latte and our unique Halwa Hot Chocolate. We created these drinks using our family recipes and based them on the drinks we enjoyed so much when growing up. They offer a unique Middle Eastern twist on drinks we all know and love, and are the perfect representation of our unique brunch concept here at 215.
